Daily Kos Endorses Mitt Romney

January 10, 2008

Daily KosHead kook Kos is encouraging Michigan Democrats to support Mitt Romney.  Republicans should heed this advice and abandon the Mittens to offset this attempt at destroying our party.

Michigan Democrats should vote for Mitt Romney, because if Mitt wins, Democrats win. How so?

For Michigan Democrats, the Democratic primary is meaningless since the DNC stripped the state of all its delegates (at least temporarily) for violating party rules. Hillary Clinton is alone on the ballot.

Since there’s no contest on the Democrat party side, let’s ruin it for the Republicans!  How immature.

But on the GOP side, this primary will be fiercely contested. John McCain is currently enjoying the afterglow of media love since his New Hamsphire victory, while Iowa winner Mike Huckabee is poised to do well in South Carolina.

So Kos wants to ensure that neither strong candidate gains momentum.

Meanwhile, poor Mitt Romney, who’s suffered back-to-back losses in the last week, desperately needs to win Michigan in order to keep his campaign afloat.  Bottom line, if Romney loses Michigan, he’s out. If he wins, he stays in.

Daily KosThe Democrats benefit by keeping Romney’s head above water.  It’s sink or swim time for Mittens.  Fish or cut bait.

And we want Romney in, because the more Republican candidates we have fighting it out, trashing each other with negative ads and spending tons of money, the better it is for us. We want Mitt to stay in the race, and to do that, we need him to win in Michigan.

That sounds like an endorsement to me.  Kos is not stupid, even if he is a bit of an unhinged chump.  He knows that Mitt cannot win, but he wants to keep the spoiler alive to keep better candidates from gaining momentum.

If we can help push Mitt over the line, not only do we help keep their field fragmented, but we also pollute Romney’s victory. How “legitimate” will the Mittster’s victory look if liberals provide the margin of victory? Think of the hilarity that will ensue. We’ll simply be adding fuel to their civil war, never a bad thing from our vantage point.

Clever, clever.  Let’s not let them get away with it.

Michigan is Romney’s last stand.  He has pulled all advertising from other states for a last-ditch effort there. It’s sink or swim time for Romney, and we’re going to throw him a lifesaver.

If you know people in Michigan, forward them a link to Kos’ post and suggest that they throw Mitt an anvil.  It’s the right thing to do for our party and for America.  Especially since Democrats and the nutroots are trying to fracture our party.

Faux Blogs

November 27, 2007

SplogWow! Psycheout wrote an interesting post today about Fake Blogs. Here is an excerpt:

There has been an annoying proliferation of fake blogs lately. Keeping up with them is a tiresome and disheartening task. Anyone who works on a blog knows exactly what I’m talking about.

Click the link to read the whole thing! And buy some cheap v14ggr4 and c14l15 while you’re at it!

Featured Blog: Conservatives United

November 20, 2007

And Now...The Conservatives! It’s about time for another Featured Blog.  And I’ve got another good one for you: Conservatives United.  This blog was started by longtime Blogs for Bush commenter Jeremiah.  And it’s about time!  Blogs for Bush has closed its doors and out of the ashes arose Blogs for Victo(r)y as well as Jeremiah’s new Conservatives United.  We get a two-fer!

Conservatives United is a place where Christian Conservatives can discuss the critical issues that face America today!

Exactly what the doctor ordered.  And he’s put up a lot of food for thought.  Recent posts deal with important issues such as marriage, the death penalty and abortion, Darwinists (evolution), Democrat hypocrisy, and more.  And that’s just on the front page….  Those are just the subjects that Jeremiah has tackled in the last week!

I highly recommend you head on over and check it out.  You’ll be glad you did.  You may not agree with everything that’s said over at Conservatives United, but you can be sure that it will make you think and perhaps even change your perspective.  A big thumbs up for this up and coming blog.  Get there before the rest of the crowd!

Also be sure to visit another recent fantastic addition to the blogroll.  The popular Margolis/Noonan project Blogs for Bush, as I already mentioned, has retired and morphed into the forward looking Blogs for Victo(r)y.  If you want to keep on top of the latest news about the ascendency of the Republican party and the downfall of the Democrat party’s Caucus of Corruption, this is one of the first places to go.  Make it a daily ritual.  Or else!

And yes, it’s that Mark Noonan!

Commenters Are Getting Dumber

November 19, 2007

A DunceI’m not talking about commeters here at B4C.  We’re just getting started, after all.  Nobody likes to eat in an empty restaurant, as they say, and we’re just getting off the ground here.

Rather I’m referring to my other digs, B4B (Blogs 4 Brownback).  In Dumbing It Down, I examine B4B’s past, present, and potential future, and it’s not pretty.  The liberal commenters and critics over there are dragging the level of discourse into the toilet.  The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and the stupidest idiots tend to comment the most and loudest.

In the article, I also envision a future “Voter’s Guide” post, written as a primer and tailored to the average reading ability of the median commenter (based on rants in the comment threads).

See Hillary run. See Hillary hate. She hates America? Why? Hillary is a feminazi. Hillary is a traitor.

Run, Hillary, run. Run home, Hillary. You smell. Scrub, scrub, scrub. It won’t wash. Spin, spin, spin. It won’t fly.

Poor Hillary! Poor America.

Poor America, indeed.  The primer goes on from there.  If you don’t know how to vote, or have never voted.  Maybe it will be of some help.  Actually, I may have to expand that into a full post….

American and British Conservatives: Unite!

November 17, 2007

American-British AllianceI wanted to thank The Christian View – British Baptists for recognizing B4C and awarding it a Common Cause Award and return the favor in my own way. So I wrote a guest post over there, which they kindly and promptly published.

It’s called The American-British Alliance. In it, I argue that American and British conservative cousins should work together to spread conservatism in their two great nations and around the world. I hope you go read it and agree with what I had to say.

Thanks again to Pastor Joshua for giving me the opportunity to speak to his audience.

No Smoking, Anywhere

November 15, 2007

No SmokingIt’s rare that I agree with Michael D. over at Balloon Juice, but today he hit one out of the park.

I’m extremely happy to walk into a bar or restaurant and not have smoke blown in my face. And as happy as I am not to come home stinking of smoke, I’m even happier when I know that people – including the people that own bars, restaurants, shopping centers, office buildings and bowling alleys – are allowed to exercise their right to cater to whomever they wish. Yes, governments have banned smoking in these private places. That does not mean they have a right to.

Commenter capelza also gets an inside the park home run.

And as someone mentioned above, the figures cited for deaths related to obesity have now equaled or surpassed those for smoking. So as a public health issue, again, there has to be an honest recognition of what’s going on in this country.

You go girl.

Read the comment thread for that post. It’s amusing (and frightening) how unhinged zero-tolerance anti-smoking zealots can be. These are the militant leftists. These are the nanny statists. These are the real fascists. Smokers are an easy target, a scapegoat for all the evil in the millitant non-smoker’s illusory utopia. If only the evil, nasty smokers would go away, the world would be perfect.

First they came for smokers in workplaces and restaurants, then bars, then all “public places” (including private businesses). 25 feet from building entrances, soon to be a mile. Now they’re going after smoking in private residences. Since smokers are an easy target, they are routinely discriminated against by employers: quit or be fired. Where will it end?

Watch out for your alcohol, drinkers, that’s next. Temperance movements are back in style. Watch out for the next Carrie A. Nation. She’s got a hatchet with your particular vice’s name on it. Freeze! Drop that cheeseburger fatty!

I’m in favor of universal alcohol bans. Drunks are public nuisances and it does nothing but kill your liver anyway.

I’m also in favor of universal driving bans. Car emissions are smelly and turn inner cities into smog-havens.

On top of that, I’m in favor of universal fat bans. You’re killing yourself by overeating and creating a drain on our public health resources, so its off to the government fat farm for you, tubby!

Surrender rights of others you don’t like and you’ll soon see your own precious freedoms evaporate before your eyes. You don’t like some guy smoking? I’m sure he can find something that you enjoy that he hates. He’s on to you, buddy, if you want to play that game. Back and forth you go, round and round, until there’s nothing left. So much for liberty. It’s passe these days.

Enjoy your chains.

Update: Perry Como (who I thought was dead) comes back from the grave with some pearls of logic:

Smokers are a hated minority so they are an easy target to pile on. But don’t worry if you are a non-smoker. Once the zealots have enacted a de facto ban on smoking, they will find some vice of yours and come after you next.

Heh, indeed.

Update 2: Think I’m exaggerating?  Meet the neo-prohibitionists: Prohibition Returns!

B4C Wins Award

November 14, 2007

Common Cause AwardB4C has won its first of many awards. Thanks to the folks at The Christian View – British Baptists, whoever they are.

B4C is well on its way to becoming the premier website for conservative news and views. You read that here first. Be sure to add B4C to your list of favorites. There is much more planned and additional writers and correspondents will be added to our team soon.

I have already lined up some fantastic guest authors. So keep watching this space. It’s really going to be something other than else.

Clarification: Pastor Joshua seems to have liked our post on Goths, those self-indulgent crybabies. I agree wholeheartedly. It was a good post. A truthful post. An award winning post. Thanks again.

Featured Blog: A Married Lady

November 7, 2007

Welcome To JesusThere’s a lot of blogs out there and it’s near impossible to find those blog authors who have that special something: a way with words, a message to spread and good honest to goodness family values and Christian sense. I may have found a blog that truly hits the trifecta. And that blog is A Married Lady. Who is this married lady? Let her tell you in her own words:

I am a conservative wife and mother, a patriotic American, and I am blessed to know Jesus. I am a great fan of women like Laura Bush, Ann Coulter, and the late Phyllis Schafly. My husband won’t let me use my real name but he said I could share my thoughts with you. God Bless America and Blessed Be!

As a mother of seven children, she probably doesn’t find that much time to write, but I’m thankful that her husband has permitted her to broadcast her wisdom to the world. Take a look at A Married Woman‘s blog, let her words wash over you, and I’m sure you will agree, this blog will be one to watch.

B4B Profiled: Raw Story or Raw Deal?

November 6, 2007

Raw StorySister site Blogs 4 Brownback was profiled recently by liberal online news website Raw Story this week. The author linked to several posts, and quoted several critics. Only one objective source was quoted to speak the truth about B4B.

Publicity, even slanted against its subject, can be beneficial. But the question remains: was this the raw story or yet another raw deal? You be the judge.

Fright Night

October 31, 2007

Vast Left Wing ConspiracyFor years Balloon Juice, written by John Cole, had been a rather good conservative blog. For years he railed against the idiotarians of the left, the Jane Hamshers of the left and the liberal fascism that defines the Democrat party. For some reason, the battle to protect Terri Schiavo from her husband and those who would like to usher in a holocaust against the handicapped to rival the holocaust against the pre-born, caused something to snap in John Cole’s brain.

He has been moving away from the Republican party in fits and spurts since that time, and has been posting ever more unhinged rants for at least the last several months. It has been sad to watch, much like a drunken train wreck in slow-motion. Today he finally made it a official: a clean break. He has just publicly declared himself a registered moonbat.

Unless this is some Hell-o-ween joke and he’s just donning a Robert Byrd mask to churn up page views, his assimilation into moonbattery is complete. It’s sad to see him go. I can understand being less than thrilled at the prospect of supporting Rudy McRomney. Even that makes me sick to my stomach, but going over to the other side is unthinkable. Will John Cole gladly pull the lever for Hitlery? Time will tell. Here’s a bit of today’s screed:

I had intended to register independent, but when I got there to do it, I had a moment of clarity- there seemed to be no point leaving the Republican party in protest and joining the unwashed masses. If I really was going to protest, it made no sense to not commit to the opposition party. Besides, as a Republican all these years, I never had any problem voting for libertarians, Democrats, etc., I don’t see why being a Democrat will change anything. And, the 2008 election really is the most important election of my lifetime- the basic foundation of our country has been under assault for a while, now, and I want to vote in the Democratic primary as a Democrat, not as someone with no party affiliation. I want to send a message, and as small as this gesture (which should appropriately be interpreted as a middle finger to the GOP and not as a sloppy wet kiss to Nancy Pelosi) is, I want it to mean as much as possible. There is now one less Republican in WV, and one more Democrat.

He’s babbling. He sounds like a crazy person who’s at last cracked completely, the poor fellow. And his real reason becomes clear:

Now send me my check from Soros and the 40 virgins.

Over the years of visiting John Cole’s site, I’d come to think of him as a friend, although an occasionally foul-mouthed friend. Unlike some of those on the right side of the blogosphere, I do not react in anger, but rather in pity. He’s like the family member who has surrendered to Satan and found himself addicted to alcohol and drugs. He’s not the man I thought he was, the man he once was, the man he likely is still, underneath that mountain of madness. He is ill, to be sure. But I am upset at the illness and not at the poor afflicted victim.

If you are angry at the Republican party, do something to change it. Conservatism isn’t wrong, even if some of its representatives have let you down. Perhaps you were a RINO for some time now. Now I suspect you are a DINO. The Democrat party is not for you, as you will soon find out. Cindy Sheehag, Robert “Sheets” Byrd, the Goracle, Ted “Swimmer” Kennedy, Nancy Piglosi, Harry Reidtard? Do they represent you?

It’s not too late to come back. I would welcome you with open arms, John. And when you, I will not say “I told you so.” You will be back. So please, John, come back. Come back into the light.

Update: With us or against us? John Cole chooses sides. The latter. He’s gone.

Maybe in a while I will split ways with the Democrats and find some place else where I am more comfortable. For now, though, you can count me in the “against us” category. Centrism is not going to cut it. Things are way fucked up, spiralling out of control, and getting worse by the day. Jane Hamsher, Atrios, Kos, and I all see eye to eye.
