Mittens Not Endorsed By NRA

by

NRAAmerica’s hunter has a problem with guns, it would seem. And he’s stepped in it again with his tall tales, this time on Meet the Press.

Maybe it was the pressure of the moment. Being under the Tim Russert spotlight can get to anyone. Under Russert’s grilling about guns on this morning’s “Meet the Press,” former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney claimed an endorsement he’d never won.

Here’s his claim:

“I just talked about, about guns. I told you what my position was, and what I, what I did as governor; the fact that I received the endorsement of the NRA.”

Here’s the reality:

He was never endorsed by the NRA, and didn’t have their official support during his 2002 gubernatorial campaign.

A swing and a miss! Now, watch this drive.

Mitt Romney: a legend in his own mind.

Update: Mitt’s a weeper.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” today that he wept with relief when the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Mormon church, announced a 1978 revelation that the priesthood would no longer be denied to persons of African descent.

And he can turn on the waterworks on cue.  Great.

Romney’s eyes appeared to fill with tears as he discussed the emotional subject….

Maybe he should practice biting the lower lip.  Sickening, isn’t it?

    Ok, time for my take.

Yes, Romney is a flip flopper and guns are only one issue he’s done that on. Come to think of it, the entire Republican field is flip flopping on a myriad of issues except one, the guy I support who’s from Texas and currently out raising the other candidates in the money department.

I still think that Giuliani’s phone call during an NRA meet is the most hilarious thing that ever happened. I’m waiting for Mittens to blow his cover by changing his magical underwear in the middle of an NRA meeting. I really would not be surprised if that happened.
